Virginia Morning

My usual place at sunrise is in bed under the covers. Well, this particular morning I made an exception. Kathy & I were in Abingdon, VA, recently. She was working with a client and I was ……. not! I made an exception this morning and was blessed with several great photo ops (photography opportunities).

Barn with out buildings and cattle

On my way to a local wildlife spot (Sidebar: I love the “BirdsEye” app for my iPhone/iPad. It identifies places around wherever one might be where birds have been sighted, which species, how long ago, etc.) I dove by this scene. I turned around and went back to spend some time making a few clicks. This has to be one of the definitions of “peaceful.”

I would have loved to been with you! Reminds me of the farm I grew up on. Of course it was different in many ways, but the peaceful and serene view of the barn tugs at my heart.
