I’m outta here!!

Kathy & I just returned from a fabulous few days with my sister and her family, my oldest daughter and her family at my sister and her husband’s new lake home. It was sort of a mini-family reunion. People came from Germany, Idaho, North Dakota, Nebraska, and Minnesota.

Life on the water is stupendous! “If you’re lucky enough to live at the beach, you’re lucky enough!” The weather was perfect and lots of time was spent on the beach and in the water.

One of my Nieces decided to take her dog – Arson – for a ride on her wake board (waveboard? whatever). Arson was none to sure about the idea, but sat nervously on the board in front of my Niece. That is… until he was close enough to shore to be able to swim to “safety.” All of a sudden Arson was airborne! He jumped off the board and swam for the beach. As you can see, Arson’s sudden departure left my Niece airborne as well.

We had a wonderful few days remembering days gone by and family members no longer with us. I collected more data for the genealogy work I am consumed with.

I wish you all a very happy Independence Day! Enjoy your picnics and celebrate safely, but remember too what this day means to our country.
